One of the engineering managers in my department has a book in his office titled "1001 Ways to Reward Employees." I'm very curious about it because while I think I'm a pretty creative manager and good at making my employees feel appreciated, I'd be hard pressed to come up with 101 ways.
Yesterday my manager mentioned she had something for me, then later came into my office with a small brown paper bag. She was very excited about whatever was in it and requested that I open it right then. This was what was inside --->
She'd been to the Alemany Farmer's Market that weekend and picked "the prettiest ones" for me to paint. So sweet.
I'm pretty sure this particular suggestion isn't in Samir's book, but I feel pretty rewarded!
