Look out world. I have discovered the macro setting on my wide-angle lens. Now I can capture the intimate details of gowing things that I so love.
Can't you just imagine me stalking the basil and the tomatos? I had just watered, but the light was so beautiful in the hazy morning fog that I went back in for the camera and opted to be a little late for work. I love the little droplets of mist from the hose that collected on the Japanese anenome petal.
I love the abstraction of this photo. This is a dahlia from my garden. It is a beautiful rich pink, and has frilly petals that curl every which way. It is the late-bloomer in the garden, and came up about 3 weeks behind the rest of the dahlias. I hope that means it will still be blooming when the rest are spent. Unfortunately, the ants like this one as much as I do, so I mostly enjoy the blooms in the garden, and not in the house.
those pics look loverly. all the pictures i take with my macro function turn out blurry. =/

Oh that is a gorgeous dahlia picture picture! Love the other ones too, th elittle growing green baby with her umbilical cord still attached is sweet :)
Isn't macro fun? Have you tried this fun macro trick?
try flipping your lens around...
"Set your camera to the Manual shooting mode, carefully remove the lens from the camera body, flip the lens around and hold the front of the lens flush to the hole on the camera body. Be careful not to let anything touch the opposite side of the lens! Look through the viewfinder and move your body in and out to focus on your subject."
