Ok, so this making something every day is harder than taking a picture every day. Especially during the work week. On Monday, my biggest creative accomplishment was writing a weekly status report for my team, which ran to 16 pages this week. Although it was typed by me, saying I "made it with my hands" is probably an unfair stretch.
On Tuesday, I made my heart healthier by taking a long walk on the cliffs. But nothing made with my hands. Today I'm working at home, so at the very least I'll make some food.
The good thing I'm finding in the practice of focusing on making things though, is that I'm thinking about making things a lot more than I have been for a long time. I walk through each day thinking "What could I make today?" and carrying that possibility and awareness around with me feels really good. So I'm not giving up on this month's project, even with two failed days in a row.
